From Circe to the witch trials to Sabrina, we'll celebrate and critique the portrayal of witches from the ancient world to the present, with a special focus on modern American pop culture.

Maya Rook of Illusory Time is a cultural historian, college educator, and yoga instructor living in Mid-Coast Maine. She offers a variety of engaging events that include explorations into a range of both popular and obscure historical topics, as well as meditative and magical practices. Participants have described Maya’s approach as welcoming, vibrant, creative, playful, humorous, delightful, informative, and fun. You will walk away with new knowledge, a deeper connection to yourself and others, and some fresh magic in how you view the world around you.
