THE TOWER: How to De-Christianize Your Personal Practice

When we leave Evangelical Cults, Christianity, or Catholicism, especially if we were raised in it, we often take things with us even if we don’t mean to. We often look to Witchcraft & Paganism as an alternative to the rigid organization of the Christian Church, but when we bring in old view points from the Church, we’re not really seeing the full picture of what Witchcraft & Paganism has to offer.

Lucas Ford was raised in this type of environment. He was generally more open to alternative spirituality, even believing in & loving Witchcraft, Paganism, & the Occult having been raised by a superstitious parent from Appalachia. He often felt torn between two worlds, fighting himself & his personal beliefs everyday. After leaving the church at age 17, he abandoned religious thinking in general until he was 22, when he decided to pick up a more openly Spiritual line of thinking, studying all things Witchcraft, Paganism, & the Occult before committing to Paganism & Folk Magic full time.

Having been through the spiritual ringer, Lucas intimately understands how important it is to shed your preconceived notions of Paganism & Witchcraft entirely. This is a beneficial process for anyone regardless of how long they have been practicing. It helps us understand what we may have clung on to from Christianity, and how it may perpetuate harm in our own community.

This course will be a deep dive into how to address lines of thinking in your craft that may come from a more ‘organized religious’ standpoint, & how to begin your journey into taking on your religious trauma.
