In this class, we’ll explore the origins of this spooky holiday and the various cultural traditions that weave together into our present-day celebrations of Halloween.

Maya Rook of Illusory Time is a cultural historian, college educator, and yoga instructor living in Mid-Coast Maine. She offers a variety of engaging events that include explorations into a range of both popular and obscure historical topics, as well as meditative and magical practices. Participants have described Maya’s approach as welcoming, vibrant, creative, playful, humorous, delightful, informative, and fun.
